The work on the malware sample submission service is finally done and we are ready to receive your submissions. At the moment it can only process files with a size of 2MB or smaller, but we hope to increase this limit in the future.

Some of you may have experienced some problems reporting spam to us lately. Our mailboxes were unable to handle the load so we decided to migrate our e-mail service to Google Apps in order to provide a better service to the people reporting spam to us. The migration process is now complete and you should now be able to report spam to us again, without any problems.

We changed our spam reporting policy once again. We have increased the daily limit of spam data to 2MB per person. The temporary e-mail account used for large attachments will not be available anymore very soon, so please report all your spam (including spam with large attachments) to spam@cybertopcops.com.

We decided to implement a new spam reporting policy by limiting the amount of spam data per person to 1MB per day. This is done in order to conserve bandwidth, not only our own, but also the bandwidth of the people reporting the spam to us. Please refer to our

After long consideration, we decided to put the Cyber Top Cops Safety Stamp of Approval on hold until further notice. This decision was made due to the constant rise in cyber crime and since our main goal is to battle cyber crime, we decided to devote all our resources towards this goal until we have some spare resources available for this project. Every applicant who applied so far will be notified via e-mail.

Quite a few changes have been made to the site over the past few weeks. We have redesigned the layout of the
Hoaxes, Scams, Spam section by placing each example on a separate page. This was done to place more emphasis on specific examples and to make the pages load faster.
We also added two new categories namely the
Malware Spam and
IRS Phishing Scams sections. We also added a couple of new examples to the
Banking Phishing Scams section.
Finally, we grouped all the different types of software from our Anti-virus, Anti-spyware, Anti-Hacker and Ant-Spam pages onto one single page called the
Cyber Security Software Page.

Up to now our Online Threat Simulations feature only worked with Firefox. The problem has now been resolved and the simulations now work in most mainstream browsers.
